For FarmHers,
By FarmHers
Helenโs Daughters is focused on building the individual and collective capacity of women farmers in the Caribbean region so that they can exercise their economic rights. Several countries in the region, consist of rural communities, yet most organizations that focus on women, girls and/or trans are urban centric. With marked social-class distinctions between rural and urban communities, we make it a point to focus on these under-served areas.
From agricultural training programmes to pro-bono health services in rural communities and even a farm-to-table cooking show; our organization takes a holistic approach to creating opportunities for women in the agricultural sector, combatting our regional food-import bill and tackling non-communicable diseases, while also ending cycles of poverty that exist in these rural communities.
Weโre not just an agricultural organization- we use agriculture as an entry-point to overall development!

Last weekend, the Helen's Daughters St. Kitts and Nevis Chapter hosted its very first in-person member engagement activity for 2026 with an EcoTour at the Crater Trailhead in Newton Ground.
Members gathered for a morning of exploration and learning, discovering the rich biodiversity of the area while gaining insight into local conservation efforts, native plant life, endangered species, and the history of the Liamuiga Trail. The group also learned about the Department of Environment's vision to transform the area into a vibrant Eco-Park that promotes environmental protection, public education, and sustainable development.
More than just a day outdoors, the EcoTour highlighted the important connection between healthy ecosystems, sustainable agriculture, and resilient communities. It was also an opportunity for members to build relationships, share experiences, and strengthen the growing Helen's Daughters community in St. Kitts and Nevis.
As our chapter's first physical activity, this event marks the beginning of many more opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together. Thank you to everyone who joined us. Here's to building stronger communities and a more sustainable future, one experience at a time. ๐๐ฑ
